About Eli Levin

Eli Levin is a singer on Lehallel — the filtered YouTube platform. 184+ of his recordings can be watched here, with no ads and no comments.

Eli Levin sings the words of the siddur and Tehillim to his own melodies. "Esah Einai" lifts its eyes to the mountains, as in the psalm; "Shivisi" places Hashem before him always; "Yifei Nof" sings of Har Tzion, beautiful in its heights, the joy of the whole earth; "Elokai Neshama" is the morning blessing over the pure soul; "Bayamim Haheim" comes from Al HaNissim, in those days at this time; "Bein Kodesh L'Chol" is the line of Havdalah between the holy and the everyday; "V'chulam Mekablim" is the line of the morning prayer in which all the angels accept upon themselves the yoke of Heaven; and "Habeit" carries the plea to look down from Heaven. "Shir HaMaalos", "Kaddish", "Techiyas Hameisim", "Ten Li Tefilah" and "Liros Banim" stand beside them.

His albums are "Az Yashir", named for the Song of the Sea, and "Hear My Prayer", each with its sampler, and his songs are many: "Chaim Sheli", "Lech Lecha", "Only You" (Rak Atah), "Smile Again", "Waiting", "Afikomen", "Cholem Kmo Yosef" with Peretz Chein, "Halelu" with Pumpidisa in a music video and a Purim remix, "Melech Rachaman" with Yosef Gestetner, "Mivakshim" with Yehuda Cohen, "Hayom" with Irving Kairey, "Ana" with Avromi Spitz, and "Never Give Up!" for TYH Nation.

He sings a cappella the songs of others he loves: Ishay Ribo and MBD's "Atah Zocher", Abie Rotenberg's story song "Joe DiMaggio's Card", "Kah Echsof", "Kel Mistater", the Miami Boys Choir's "Yaaleh Veyavo", "Rebbe Nachman", "Totty My King", and Reb Shlomo Carlebach's "Ani Maamin". His covers include "Abba Iti", "Mi HaIsh", "Shomati", "VeHi She'amdah" and "Keili Atah", sung in a collaboration during the corona days.

Much of his singing is under the chuppah and at the sheva brachos: "Mi Adir" sung to the tune of "Pnei L'Elyon", "Mi Bon Siach" to Abie Rotenberg's "Birchas HaBayis", Reb Shlomo's and Yaakov Shwekey's "Im Eshkachech", "Nishmas" at a sheva brachos in Bordeaux, "Neshoma" and "B'chol Tzar" at a sheva brachos in Lakewood, and the dancing of a wedding with the Energy band. He sings Havdalah in the Hampton Synagogue, "B'Rosh Hashanah" to the nusach of Reb Shmuel Gedalia Pollack, a Simchas Beis HaShoeiva kumzitz in Monsey, a pre-Shabbos kumzitz with friends, stories and songs at the Oorahthon, and "Mi Shebeirach L'Tzahal", the prayer for Israel's soldiers, sung at the shloshim of a fallen soldier. Each song opens on its own page, with no ads and no comments around it.
