About Lipa Schmeltzer

Lipa Schmeltzer is a singer on Lehallel — the filtered YouTube platform. 93+ of his recordings can be watched here, with no ads and no comments.

Lipa Schmeltzer sings Chassidic song in Yiddish, Hebrew and English - songs of Yom Tov, of the Gemara and of a Jew's simple faith - and writes most of them himself. Each song is here once, its most-watched recording, the most-watched first, with who made it and the year it came out.

His best-known song, "Mizrach", from 2012, has been watched on YouTube more than four million times. From the same year come "Hang Up The Phone", with more than half a million views, "Believe in a Miracle" and "Leap of Faith"; "The Reveal", which he sings with Ari Lesser, and "Bar Mitzvah Time", with Nissim Black, have each been watched nearly 300,000 times.

"Abaye VeRava" (2022) is from his BavLipa album. In its own words, he recorded part of it at the resting place of Abaye and Rava and part at the Ribnitzer Rebbe's; its chorus is a tune the Ribnitzer Rebbe would sing while learning, as his gabbai, R' Moishe Berkowitz, told it; and its meaning in one sentence is that life is short, but the wisdom a person leaves behind lives on forever. "Gemara in Song" belongs to the same love of learning.

His album "Yom Tov Lipa" is here track by track, every one composed by him: "Ushpizin", "Tivi Tivi", "Usmachtem", "Vehasi'einu", "Al Yisroel", "Duchoi", "Na'anuim", "Ruach HaKodesh", "Mecharcherim", "Atah Bechartanu", "Klotz", "Ushavtem", "Hakafos", "Yesod Tzaddik", "Tzon Kodashim" and "Diras Arai" - the Yomim Tovim from Sukkos to Simchas Torah.

With them are "Drapenen", written and composed by R' Cheskie Weisz; "Super Seder" with Yeshiva Aderes HaTorah, composed with Aharon Razel; "Yiddish Nachas" with Yossi Green and the Yiddish Nachas Boys Choir; "Shain Vi Di Levone" with the Holocaust Survivor Band; "From The Verge" and "Ich Dank Ich Ken Danken" with ThankYouHashem; "Ich Bin Mich Mochel" - I forgive myself; "Heal Us"; "Hoshanos L'Purim"; "Hashem Needs Every Yid"; "Leiby Forever"; "Srulik"; and a song for Rav Elyashiv zt"l on his 98th birthday. In November 2023 he sat with a father whose son was held hostage in Gaza and gave him a Tehillim and a prayer for his son's safe return. His simchas - weddings, a Chanukah party, Oorah's Chanukah concert, a Mitzvah Tantz - are here too. Each song opens on its own page, with no ads and no comments around it.
