About Shmili Landau

Shmili Landau is a singer, producer and DJ on Lehallel — the filtered YouTube platform. 58+ of his recordings can be watched here, with no ads and no comments.

Shmili Landau stands behind the music of the Chassidic simcha in two ways: as a singer and producer, and as DJ TwoTone, the mixer who strings the season's songs into one long dance. His channel follows the Jewish year and the wedding hall, and its titles name each mix by its year, in English and in Yiddish.

Purim has a new mix every year - Purim 2021, "Pashkus 2.0" for Purim 2022, and Purim 2024, 2025 and 2026 - and the summer has its own, from the summer of 2021 and 2022, made with DJ You&Me, to Summer '25 and Summer '26. For Sukkos there is a mix for the Simchas Beis HaShoeiva and "Hakafa Gimmel" for the third circuit of Simchas Torah. Some mixes are given to one singer alone: "The Lipa Mix" of Lipa Schmeltzer's songs and "The Beri Mix" of Beri Weber's.

At weddings he plays the whole evening, and the channel keeps the sets: the wedding mixes of Eli and Shaindy and of Menachem and Lea, the Schmeltzer wedding, "Third Dance" - the dritte tantz of the wedding - and a wedding recap with Meilech Braunstein and Chaim Horowitz.

To find your way here: the page puts his mixes first, in the order of the year - Purim, the summer, the weddings - then the mixes made for one singer, then Hakafos and the Simchas Beis HaShoeiva, and last his own songs and the songs he produced. A mix runs long, often half an hour or more, so it plays like a whole simcha; a song of his stands alone. A listener who wants to hear him sing can begin with "Shreit Shabbos" or "Efen Di Tir", and one who wants the dance floor can begin with the newest Purim or summer mix.

His song names are Yiddish phrases with a story in them: "Ich Vill" - I want; "Tzimisht" - all mixed up; "A Zechia" - a merit and a privilege; "Efen Di Tir" - open the door; "Ein Kitzvu" - without limit; and "Shreit Shabbos" - call out Shabbos, the call heard in the streets of Chassidic neighborhoods as Shabbos comes in.

His own songs are sung with friends: "Shreit Shabbos" - call out Shabbos - with Hershy Weinberger; "Ein Kitzvu" with Duvid Berger and the Roimemu choir; "Kad Yasvin" with Lazer Landau; "Efen Di Tir" - open the door - with Sruly Green; "Ich Vill" with Ari Samet and Chilly Wagschal; "Tzimisht" and "A Zechia" with Ari Samet; "A Kus A Jumbo '24" with Yoely Weiss and Tuli Brill; and a song with Simcha Abramczik and Shimmy Weiss. As a producer he made "Shitah HaKedoshah" for Yoely Klein and Shaya Gross. Each song and mix opens on its own page, with no ads and no comments around it.

You can search inside the songs by what was said, play the whole catalog back to back, or follow Shmili Landau to be told when something new comes in.
