Rabbi Itai Ben Aharon teaches in Hebrew and in English, in shiurim of half an hour to an hour and more: the weekly parsha, the days from Rosh Hashanah to Simchat Torah, and the stories of the tzaddikim told on the day of each one's hilula.

His parsha shiurim ask a question and follow it through the Torah and the Gemara. On Bereshit he asks who is called up first and tells of the first wedding in history; he looks for the secrets of creation in the parsha - giant animals and two-headed people among them - and tells of the virtue of Rabbi Menashe Levy's prayer. On Noach he asks how the air was cleared after the Flood, and when a person should keep Shabbat in a space shuttle. On Lech Lecha he asks who circumcised Avraham Avinu and why our forefathers and mothers were barren - why Hashem withholds things from us - teaches tzitzis as the seal of the King and the rule that a man can make a thing forbidden upon himself, and tells stories of Rabbi Yehuda Tzadka. On Vayera he asks why Avraham was not disqualified after the Akeidah and how Lot wanted to do away with our righteous Mashiach, and on Chayei Sarah he teaches not to second-guess the first. On Vayeshev he teaches the bond between the angel Matat and Yosef HaTzaddik; on Re'eh, the middah of chesed, with the question of what moved President Truman to vote for the State of Israel; and on Ki Seitzei, why the yetzer grows stronger when a person leaves the Torah, and the story of the man who disguised himself as the Maggid of Dubno. Beside the parsha he learns Nach - Yehoshua, chapter 7.

Before Rosh Hashanah he gives words of chizuk and awakening, among them a talk at the Be'er Yitzchak beis midrash in Kadima-Tzoran; he teaches why a Rosh Hashanah that falls on Shabbat can bring the best year yet, how a new year brings new opportunities, and a lesson on the light of Mashiach. He speaks on the last Shabbat of the year. For Yom Kippur he teaches a segulah for wealth that needs no buying of Maftir Yonah, and the power to bring Mashiach on the night after Yom Kippur. Before Sukkot he prepares to enter the holy sukkah, and on Sukkot he teaches how the joy of the festival carries through the whole year, the Masechta Sukkah that saved, the virtue of learning on Chol HaMoed with stories of the great men of Israel, and a lesson to prepare for Hoshana Rabbah and Simchat Torah.

On the day of each tzaddik's hilula he tells his stories: Rabbi Levi Yitzchak of Berditchev on the 25th of Tishrei, Maran Harav Ovadia Yosef on the 3rd of Marcheshvan, the Chazon Ish and Rabbi Yehuda Leon Patilon - one of the thirty-six hidden tzaddikim - on the 15th of Marcheshvan, the Kabbalist Rabbi Mordechai Sharabi, and the Chofetz Chaim, Rabbi Yisrael Meir Kagan of Radin, on his yahrzeit. In the summer months come the holy Rabbi Aharon of Belz on the 21st of Av, the Kabbalist Rabbi Yehuda Fatiya on the 27th of Av, in two parts, the Kabbalist Rabbi Moshe Idan before the 5th of Elul, the Kabbalist Chacham Menachem Menashe on the 12th of Elul, and the Ben Ish Chai, Rabbeinu Yosef Chaim, before the 13th of Elul. He tells which tzaddik helped from Heaven to find a missing four-year-old boy. He tells of the wagon driver's question to the Gaon of Lissa, of Rabbi Pinchas ben Yair and the river that divided its waters for him, and of Rabbi Elazar ben Durdia, who acquired his world in one hour of teshuva.

Beside them stand shiurim on emunah and the middos: that what matters is the effort and the investment and not the result, that a small acceptance brings a great salvation, the middah of chesed that protects the one who keeps it, a wife's spiritual influence on her husband, segulos to annul harsh decrees, and how to make restitution for something stolen when a person no longer remembers whom he took it from. He asks how to build an emunah that stands in an age of uncertainty, to whom a sick person should go first - the doctor or the tzaddik - and teaches that the Torah's way is mercy and compassion, never cruelty, and the duty to guard oneself well in bein hazmanim.
