We're starting on Daf Khes, Amud Bais, where it says Amar Rab Chanin, four lines from the bottom. The Gemara here was discussing different halachos in connection to the dalet keisim. And one of the things they discussed is the measurement of the shiur of a revi'is. So here the Gemara is going to bring a few different ways how to measure what a revi'is is. Amar Rab Chanin, Rab Chanin said, "Lug d'Oraisa, a lug min ha Torah." How do you measure what that is? A revi'is is essentially a a quarter of a lug. Right? So if you know what a lug is, we know what a revi'is is. So lug min ha Torah tumanta atika d'maryisa d'Tzipori. It's this old vessel that's called a tumanta that was a measuring keili. And they used it for maryisa d'Tzipori, for the fish sauce in the city of Tzipori. Amar Rab Yeina, Rab Yeina said, "Va chachamim d'Oraisa, I recognize this keili, d'veis Rab Yana'i being used in the house of Rab Yana'i havei was there. Machilin badvash, they would measure in it or they would keep in it honey." Tani, in another braisa we learn from about the measurement of a lug, chatzei shminis d'varyanis, half of this measure measuring keili that's called a shminis in Tverya ayishana, and the the old one that they used to use then, that was a lug. Amar Rab Yechiel, Rab Yechiel said about this, "Hadein didan, the measuring at shminis that we have now as well, havei who? It's it's also the same shiur like it was then." So the Gemara asks, "If it's the same same shiur now like it was then, the lama karila atika?" So why did he refer to it as the old one, the one that they used then? Min begin d'havei b'yamei, if it's the same in his days as
