Hi my name is Alisa Minkin I'm a general pediatrician and I'm the chair of the Jowma preventative health committee and I'm here tonight with Dr. Bat-Sheva Lerner Maslow she's double board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and reproductive endocrinology.She's a reproductive endocrinologist and the director of research at extend fertility where she specializes in counseling women about their fertility and options for fertility preservation. She also provides the full spectrum of infertility care at extend fertility and premium health center Dr. Maslow graduated magnum cum laud from Barnard college and with a BA in history before attending the Albert Einstein college of medicine where she received her medical decree. She completed her residency training in obgyn obstetrical and gynecology at the University of Pennsylvania and did sub-specialty training in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Connecticut where she also completed a master's degree in clinical and translational research. Wow, that is really impressive and I'm so grateful that you're here with me tonight. Thank you for having me. Absolutely! So, we're going to talk about this very specific topic which is fertility preservation and I would love it if you could start explaining how it started, you know who it was for originally, who it is for now, and you know some changes that have been made in the field.
