My name is Sarah Dorsky and I'm honored to serve as your moderator for tonight's Jowma Child and Adolescent Health Summer Safety Webinar. Before we begin, I like to thank the Jewish Orthodox Women's Medical Association or Jowma for our organizing this important program. Jowma is a dynamic organization of over a thousand Jewish Orthodox women physicians and physicians in training dedicated to professional growth, community service, growth, community service, and [snorts] advancing health care knowledge. The members span nearly every medical specialty and serve as a trusted resource for the community, acting as liaisons between community members and health care stakeholders, including hospitals, excuse me, including hospitals and government agencies. Through education, mentorship, and and advocacy, Jowma empowers its members while providing free, culturally sensitive, and accessible health sensitive, and accessible health information and resources. Through which Child and Adolescent Health Program, Jowma provides parents, families, and students with access to trusted medical information and expert guidance on issues affecting the health and well-being of children and adolescents. Jowma has also recently published The Jewish Women's Health Handbook, a comprehensive resource on women's health that includes several chapters devoted to child and adolescent health. to child and adolescent health. This book is available on Amazon and at many Jewish bookstores. As summer gets underway, families are spending more time outdoors, traveling, attending camp, and enjoying water activities.
