good morning gentlemen we're on our tenth segment of the series of think before you speak the laws of clarity dedicated for the for our chabura along with yeshuat viniflaot of klaus israel and specifically for the yeshuat of khaim of adobe zara and foshmira today's halacha is titled judging favorably now this is a very common and a very popular halacha in an american society we have this saying that seeing is believing in judaism we know good and well that what you see in this world is never what you get and seeing is absolutely not believing at all but rather there's always more than what meets the eye and therefore a lot of times we find ourselves living in a very judgmental society when we should have already picked up in life that seeing is not believing if for instance you would see somebody who's god-fearing a very irrational god-fearing person and that person you saw doing something questionable either morally or religiously at that point we are required we are to judge that person favorably and even if it seems that you're looking straight away at what seems to be terribly wrong but if it's a god-fearing person forget about it 100 not even more so but even a god-fearing person we are required to judge them favorably and this is true even if the evidence is stacked against them even if the evidence is weighted against them still we are required to judge them
