all right and we'll start so hi everyone um welcome to joma's um pre-med uh third pre-med webinar series um the topic today's work life balance i feel like this topic has been searing on our chat for so long and there have been so many like questions shot at me and at other people on this topic so i'm really happy that we're finally giving it you know the entire session that it deserves um i see a couple of new names so i'll introduce myself my name is efrat brook i'm a fourth year medical student at the icon school of medical student at the icon school of medicine at mount sinai in new york city i'm also a former high school teacher and former mcat content creator for khan academy um i'm the chair of joma premed where our goal is to provide resources support and information to pre-med students starting all the way from high school throughout your entire pre-med journey if you're not yet a joma member please please join me would love love to have you um i have with me today two amazing wonderful co-hosts dr jacqueline siegelnick and dr jessica goldman who took the time to be here goldman who took the time to be here today they are going to introduce themselves in a minute um i just want to give you all an outline of what this session is going to look like we'll start with some brief introductions um after that i'm going to give a brief um 10 tops 15 minute presentation on our topic we'll take questions on the presentation after that and then the entire second half of this session will be dedicated to answering the questions that you all submitted on the google doc and those questions will be answered by dr segonic and dr goldman so that's as far as the outline of this

  3. 12:09between medical school and residency it's not common and it's not recommended for certain specialties but
  4. 18:16developing to a developing fetus you'd want to be exposed to that so don't be shy
  5. 24:19system can look many different ways but you have to have that yeah that's the reason
  6. 30:39of the clerkships you know i think leading up to that i never worked a full-time
  7. 36:46in the park either so i felt like by the time that i got to medical
  8. 42:59you could work in a nursing home a few days a week you can do inpatient
  9. 49:09weekend before that exam i would go quickly through everything because i had already reviewed it
  10. 55:14thank you um so i guess this is a good question because i had a kid
