Hi, my name is Alisa Minkin I'm a general pediatrician and I'm the chair of the JOWMA Preventative Health Committee, and I am here tonight with Dr. Jonathan Howard who is very gracious to come back. We did the first podcast together on "How to Fool Yourself Less- Medical Decision Making for Regular People" Dr. Howard is a Neurologist and Psychiatrist at NYU and Bellevue Hospital He's the Director of Neurology at Bellevue and the Coordinator of the Neurology Clerkship. He received his medical degree from the University of Southern California and completed his residency in Neurology and Psychiatry as well as a Fellowship in Multiple Sclerosis at NYU He's also the author of the 2019 book: "Cognitive Errors and Diagnostic Mistakes: A Case-Based Guide on Critical Thinking and Medicine" And thank you so much, Dr. Howard for joining me again tonight. We really appreciate it! Dr. H: Thank you very much for having me. I appreciate it. Dr. M: Absolutely. When we talked [last time] we started our talk, actually [at the] end of January and finished it in early February I'm looking back now. It feels like a million lifetimes ago. Dr. H: Oh, absolutely. I mean It's hard to think, you know, yes, we feel we've gone A dozen lifetimes in six months. It's incredible! Dr. M: You know, I feel we SHOULD have known Looking back, I didn't even realize that the New York case in New Rochelle That was really the first NY case that we were hearing a lot about and that was sort of a "super spreader" event. That was [in] March!
