Hi everyone, it's Rabbi Dr. Jack Cohen dating coach Chopan public lecture spring has come. This week's par is and the Torah describes the building of the Mishkan the dwelling place of the shikina of the vine presence of Hashem. When we picture the Mishkan Hashem's home, we usually imagine something majestic and grand God's vessels full of gold, beautiful curtains, the Aon, the mera. It sounds like a project only great leaders could build. But my Rebi, Rabbi Vikdilla, points out something very important. The Mishkan, Hashem's very important. The Mishkan, Hashem's home, was not built by a few great people. It was built by everybody. The Torah tells us that the entire nation participated in this building. One person brought gold, another person brought silver, someone brought copper, others brought wool, skins, wood. Every Jew had something contribute, men and women. Now, you might think that only the big donations mattered. The gold must have been important. But what difference did a little copper make? But that's not how the Torah sees it at all.
