hi my name is elisa minkin i'm a general pediatrician and i'm the co-chair of the joma preventative health committee and i'm here tonight with dr alissa hellman dr hellman hi is an experienced board-certified obgyn she's been in practice for the past 10 years in milwaukee wisconsin we're actually in a different time zone she received her medical degree from nyu and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the north shore hospital in manhasset she's also the physician at the confidence a telemedicine gynecology practice focused on the needs of jewish women who observed hara tamisbacha throughout her years as a clinician she noticed a gap in women's health awareness and education this developed into special interest in patient education and being a resource for the jewish community in relation to body awareness and women's preventative health starting from a young age and so we have a lot to discuss tonight and i really want to start with how our daughters to build a healthy foundation for them we really need to start from the youngest age when i say healthy foundation i mean a healthy foundation for healthy sexuality for sure um first of all thank you so much for um inviting me to talk i really appreciate it um this is no problem this is really a topic that i'm really passionate about and i'm excited to talk about um so just kind of getting right off the bat when you mention like what is important for a healthy foundation for our daughters to know about so number one um it's all about learning
