What’s said in this shiur
The opening of this shiur, in Rabbi Lazer Brody’s own words— taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.
[Music] to introduce tonight's lesson batem David versus the angel as a person moves up a ladder of spiritual awareness his or her evil Incarnation grows also or her evil Incarnation grows also because your evil ination has to grow just with your growth so that the challenge will be exactly on equal level the ram explains in his bookem that if a person doesn't have a perfect balance of Good and Evil then there's no context for word or punishment because if the person's good inclination is stronger than the evil inclination he gets no reward and if it's evil inclination is stronger than good inclination then there's no context for punishment this there's no context for punishment this converts into punishment so as we grow our Yater grows with us it's like you grow up and you're your Sho size your shoes grow bigger also your Yer grows bigger also and so we learned last week that the basic evil inclination the basic yahar that 98.9% of the population of the world has that's basic lust animal lust for a person with a little bit of spiritual awareness he already passed that he says awareness he already passed that he says you know it doesn't it's not an animal it doesn't look at life like the way an animal does and as we'll see mentioned last week animal the animal doesn't choose to do bad animal choose to to exist for and animals uh procreation is not movies and Sport and and this and that it's a it's a basic it's a it's a basic animal need it's a designed to uh continue on the animal generation but when with humans they take the tools hasm gives them and they misuse them
