Zusha is a singer on Lehallel — the filtered YouTube platform. 109+ of his recordings can be watched here, with no ads and no comments.
Zusha is a band that sings Chassidic soul music - nigunim, verses of Tanach and the siddur, and songs in English about emunah, joy and hope. Each song is here once, its most-watched recording, the most-watched first, with the year it came out. Where the band wrote about a song, its own words tell what the song is about.
Their most-watched song, "Don't Leave Me On My Own", released in December 2023, has passed two million views on YouTube. "Chanukah Is Here", made with TYH Nation in 2020 and composed by the Blumstein Brothers, has been watched more than 900,000 times; the band writes that Chanukah is related to chinuch, and that the flames we put in the window for the world to see are lit first in the warmth of our own home - however fine the school, children learn the most from their home. "Kos Yeshuos" comes from the same partnership.
"Dov Ber" (2016) was inspired by a man they met in Los Angeles who reminded them that every melody is precious, every person unique and every moment perfect; with "V'Shamru" it makes up their "Joshua Tree" films. "Basi Legani" sets the first verse of the fifth chapter of Shir HaShirim - the words with which the Lubavitcher Rebbe began his first Chassidic discourse on the tenth of Shevat, 1951 - and was filmed live in one day - a three-part film made with their friend Ora Dekornfeld, an Emmy-award-winning documentary filmmaker - with "Hodu LaHashem" and "Tuv Taam".
"Aleph Beis" (2025) is, in the band's words, a return to basics: the Baal Shem Tov taught that even simple letters, said with sincerity, can open the gates of Heaven. "The World to Come" (2023) speaks of the force of light inside each of us; they put it out in a hard time because, they wrote, the world needs more music now than ever. "Eicha" takes its Hebrew words from the opening verses of Megillas Eicha - from the lowest point, the only way is up. "This Is How" draws on the Zohar's teaching of the loving gaze that lifts a person into who he can become, which the band learned from their teacher, Rav DovBer Pinson.
Their own words go with the newer songs too. "Needed You" (2025) is a reminder that we are never truly on our own: we rely on one another to rise from sadness into joy and from darkness into light, and the band writes of the beauty of vulnerability, the strength of community and the power of showing up for each other. "Shining Faces" (2024) is about the face of a person who is inspired, shining out to the whole world. "Hareini Mechavein" (2022) takes its name from the words a Jew says before a mitzvah - I hereby intend. "Dov Ber" was filmed by Ora Dekornfeld and mixed by Jon Seale of Mason Jar Music; "Pull Me Through" was produced and co-written by Gavriel Reichmann.
2026 brought "Pull Me Through", inspired by Dayeinu in the Haggadah - each good step would have been enough on its own - and "Everything Can Change", a Purim song of v'nahafochu: no moment is final, and Hashem can make anything happen. With them are "Choose Life" (Livchor BaChaim) with Akiva, "Hareini Mechavein", "Wonders" (Niflaos), "Needed You", "Keep Dreaming", "Shining Faces", "Wipe Away the Tears", "Burning to Be Light" and "Roof Over My Head". Their live evenings - three sold-out shows and "This Is How" at the Music Hall of Williamsburg - have a room of their own. Each song opens on its own page, with no ads and no comments around it.
You can search inside the songs by what was said, play the whole catalog back to back, or follow Zusha to be told when something new comes in.
