About יונתן רזאל

יונתן רזאל is a singer on Lehallel — the filtered YouTube platform. 101+ of his recordings can be watched here, with no ads and no comments.

Yonatan Razel writes and sings Jewish song in Hebrew - the words of Tehillim, of tefillah and of the old blessings, set to his own music. Each song is here once, its most-watched recording, the most-watched first, with what its name means and the year it came out.

His best-known song, "HaTov" (the Good One), from 2016, has been watched on YouTube more than three million times. "Mimkomcha" (from Your place), sung with the yeshiva students of Orot Shaul in 2023, more than 1.5 million; "Neve Tla'ot", from 2016, nearly 1.4 million; and "Zohar HaRakia" (the radiance of the sky), with Berry Sakharof in 2020 - an ancient blessing he once learned, in its own words - more than a million.

Many of his songs set a pasuk or a tefillah: "Gam Ki Elech" (even when I walk), "Shir HaMaalot" (a song of ascents) with the students of Shirat HaLeviim, "HaTov Ki Lo Chalu" (the Good One, Whose mercies never end) with Yeshivat Kerem B'Yavneh, "Nafshenu Chiksa" (our soul waits), "Ase Lemaan" (act for the sake), "Hineni" (here I am), "Hayinu KeCholmim" (we were like dreamers), "Ayal Ta'arog" (as a deer longs), "Esa Einai" (I lift my eyes) and "Hineh Yamim Ba'im" (behold, days are coming). Others are his own words: "Achshav Ani Af" (now I fly), "Pote'ach Lev" (opening the heart), "Lemaan Achai" (for the sake of my brothers), "Mehager" (an immigrant), "Tzayar" (a painter) and "Kama Tov B'Yisrael" (how good it is in Israel); "Tashiri" (sing) sets the words of Danieli Sonnenfeld z"l.

On stage he sings "David", "Maoz Tzur", "Ochila La'Kel" (I will hope to G-d), "Lecha Eli Teshukati" (to You, my G-d, is my longing), "Sha'arei Shamayim" with "Avinu Malkenu", and the niggun of the Baal Shem Tov with Yitzchak Meir Helfgot, Ishay Ribo and Shalom Lemmer. Each song opens on its own page, with no ads and no comments around it.
