okay good afternoon welcome to a new series we call this one L days of return because L is a time of tshua which literally means returning and uh the truth is when one is in Yeshiva so you inevitably hear and get a sense of it being ell um whether in a serious way where people are always reminding others it's l or a more joking way where people are calling out it's l um but uh you're supposed to get this this sort of uh feeling almost of of awe or dread as the days of as the Yim approach and uh and really use this time to prepare for rosashana and yum Kipper now none of us are in Yeshiva as far as I know and uh so so we don't have that constant reminder but uh but hopefully together we will uh do some preparation and of course each of us on our own as well so first I want to ask is is there significance to El on its own beyond the fact that it just happens to come to proceed rasham Kipper anytime we have a holiday we should prepare if PES is coming so obviously there's preparations for pesak so the high holidays are coming so there's preparation for the high holidays so L being the month before rashash Shana so it's a month of preparation or is there some significance to L on its own this period being something special and uh and the answer is the latter that uh L on its own again in the context of Russia sham Kipper but is it significant time every time in the in the Jewish calendar every special time has with it an AA something it's it's not just a point on the calendar where we celebrate something
