hi I'm Yakov Catz I'm a Storyteller and author and this is 18 questions for Israeli thinkers from 1840 we'll begin where we always do as an Israeli and as a Jew how are you feeling at this moment in Israeli history I feel a mix of concern and privilege and great opportunity my concern stems from the opportunity my concern stems from the fact that we are in a very dangerous moment for the future of the state of Israel still at War over a year after October 7 different multiple fronts seven fronts that are active against the state of Israel soldiers being killed unfortunately almost daily civilians being killed anti-semitic attacks around the world in places like Amsterdam and elsewhere Jews being told to take maizza elsewhere Jews being told to take maizza off doors uh in places like France and the UK I'm concerned about the political situation in Israel but I feel privilege because when I think in the Arc of history of the Jewish people there's no doubt in my mind that we are the strongest we have ever been as a Jewish Nation so yes we're in a very volatile moment but overall when you think through thousands of of years you think through thousands of of years of History the Jewish people have never been stronger the Jewish people have never been more resilient and the Jewish people have never had a greater capability to defend themselves by themselves and I feel there's an opportunity because I look at what the outcome of these wars could lead to and I feel that there is a potential for a new reality that will potentially and I say
