My name is Gil Student. I'm the director of Jewish media publications and editorial communications at the Orthodox Union. I work very closely with the 1840 team. So, I know how hard how much work and how much thought it was put into this conference. I thank I thank them very much for their work. Um uh so to my left here is uh Rabbi Arya Clapper, an old friend of mine. Rabbi Clapper is the dean of the center for modern Torah leadership, the author of divine will and human experience explorations of the and human experience explorations of the hakahik system and its values. Uh Rabbi Clapper is a frequent writer on ethical dimensions of Jewish law. And to his left is uh Zach Fish. Uh, Zach is the creator of sofur.ai, which is a cutting edge transcription and plus uh uh website and app for Torah uh Torus. He's really on the cutting edge uh and he works directly with to Torah organizations and rabbis. So today's organizations and rabbis. So today's discussion uh transparency, transparency, responsibility, accountability, the POS and AI. Let me just pause and say ak is a rabbi who decides on on issues of religious of Jewish law. So we're going to talk about I think what is a pressing question and that h what happens when centuries or millennia of hostic process uh encounter a radically new tool. So AI it raises issues of authenticity
