Okay, welcome back to living with the light, our second class. Last week we spoke about Shabas candles, the beginning of Shabas. And now today I want to speak about the summ at Habdala, the spices that we smell at Havdala. So going from the beginning of Shabas to the end of Shabas. So uh so at the end of Shabas in general there's a question if it's a Torah mitzvah or if it's a rabbitic mitzvah rabbitic mitzvah um one understanding of it is that just as we have to sanctify Shabas at the beginning of Shabas and declare the difference between how declare the sanctity of Shabas at the beginning of Shabas. So too at the end of Shabas we have to declare how Shabas is distinguished how it differs from from the weekday and that's the the purpose of Haval at the end of Shabas. Now it also has another purpose which is to permit one now to resume regular to permit one now to resume regular weekday activities after Shabas. Um but that's the braa the blessing of havdala because actually there are four blessings as part of havdala. First one is on the wine boragathan that's the first blessing we make.
