[Music] [Applause] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Why the red heer? What was so special about the red heer? Red heer was a a cow that was completely red. Had didn't have more than two non- red hairs on it. Uh it was unworked. It didn't never had a yolk on its neck. And it's extremely valuable because they're very very rare. So when this red heer was burnt and its ashes are mixed with certain things like a and whatever and they got the water from this red hea and they got the water from this red hea this was used by the kohanim to sprinkle on anybody who's tame in the times of the beta mikdash and the person who was tame will become pure. But there was a side effect. What's the side effect? The side effect is that the person who's performing the ceremony, performing the purifying ceremony, who who is the Coen, whereas he through this red heer water throwing on the impure man, whereas he makes the impure person pure, he himself makes the impure person pure, he himself becomes impure. Very strange side effects. And it this thing this idea baffled everybody including Schlomik. So how do we understand this? The answer is we don't understand it. The Cohen who is pure performs this ceremony on an impure person. He purifies the impure person. That should be enough. But no, the Cohen himself then becomes impure. the Cohen himself then becomes impure. So it sounds unfair. What's going on? So I had a a beautiful explanation to this. Why was this mitzvah given before matan Torah? Because a person when he wants to bring somebody close to Torah, when he wants to help to purify somebody's nishama, when he wants to get somebody on the right track to do the right thing to bring him close to Hashem,
