Okay, so welcome everybody. Uh I'm back from Israel now after being there for two weeks. Uh spent time in Ashod in a place called Quesalon where I gave last week's sh and in Ralim I got time to spend with my brother Talan Kalati and I'll tell you a little bit about that later and went to an amazing wedding should always be simas and uh I met Mrs. the son Benny there my very good friend and uh yeah starts off by saying in chapter 16 verse 18, judges and officers you shall appoint in all your cities. Simple meaning is you have to have law. Hashem wants you to execute the law. So you have to appoint judges in the courts, officers who will carry out the sentence. That's a simple meaning. The Zohar tells us something beautiful. Says Zohar tells us something beautiful. Says like this. He says, "What is a judge and what is an officer?" A judge is somebody who comes to a decision by using his intelligence, his an officer is somebody who takes that decision and follows it through. He's a person of action. Policemen are people of action. They have to think on their own two feet They have to think on their own two feet many times but a lot of the times they are given instructions and they follow those instructions. So Rav Zev Weineberger says as follows. He says these are the two components that a person should use in his life. You need to think things through and then you need to follow through. That's how we serve Hashem. We go through a process where we rationalize and we think and then we actually follow
