Tefillah. And let me just give you an introduction what exactly the subject is. And the uh a little bit tiny bit about the history of it. Um First thing I have to tell you is that this big book which we use for prayer in English is sometimes called a prayer book. That's a terrible misnomer. Uh the Hebrew word is siddur, but siddur has nothing to do with prayer. Siddur means something like an organizer. And the reason it's an organizer is because there are many different mitzvahs that you do using this book. When you say the Shema, that is not prayer. When you say the blessings of the morning, that's not prayer. When you read the Mishnayos that are printed and you learn Mishna, that's not prayer. Prayer literally is what's called the Amidah or the Shmoneh Esrei, what you say standing with your feet together facing the most next most holiest place and you say it you say it you're supposed to say it, but say it so silently that only you could hear it. You know one else should be able to hear it. So it says in at Shulchan Aruch." That's prayer. Everything else is not prayer. So, I'm only talking about that. Now, prayer goes back to the patriarchs. And to Moses. Last week's parsha, we read about Moses praying for his sister. And Isaac prayed for children. So, prayer is a Jewish institution that
