There you go. >> Thank you. We're starting to look at the mitzvah of Chuva, which is really the mitzvah that's uh central at this time. Chuva has two English words associated with it, which neither of which is really helpful. One is the word repentance. First of all, hardly anybody speaking current English knows what repentance is. I will wager you haven't ever used it in your lifetime. ever used it in your lifetime. I repent of something. And um and if it the the extent to which repentance has a meaning at all, it's only one of many facets of chuva. The literal meaning of chuva is to return. But it's not exactly obvious where you're returning to and how you how you got away from there and what the significance of the return is. So we're going to look at the Rambams chuva. This is chapter two. The first two laws so to speak which have a two laws so to speak which have a synopsis of chuva which is um covers a lot of ground and also is extremely um fundamental in the details that it supplies including the fact that some of the details are quite surprising. So what I would like to do is read through the whole of the page and a half slowly enough to try to get something out of it. Uh and then we'll start by focusing on the second law which is on
