But what it really means is without the protection of Torah and somebody who turns his heart away to things which are bal things which are nonsense nullified. What happens to any one of these three categories? Harvo. This person is literally forfeits his soul. So let's look at what Raban is saying. Let's look at these three categories. Hala. Somebody stays awake at night. A person stays awake at night. Not necessarily anything wrong with that. You could be learning Torah. Nothing wrong with staying awake at night. But of course, the Mishna is not talking about that. It's talking about somebody who's staying awake at night by himself when normally people are asleep and what's he doing? Things which are not good. He's staying away from society. He wants to be by himself. He wants to get involved with whatever he wants to get involved with. Somebody goes by himself.
