We mentioned that the mitzvah of love your neighbor like you love yourself is to actually think about what the other person needs. And then going ahead and providing for those needs. Often specifically in a relationship between a husband towards a wife someone can think I give them everything they need. I pick up the kids, I go shopping, I spend my hard-earned money in giving them things, I do a lot. Why does the other person feel like I'm not other person feel like I'm not fulfilling their needs? And the answer is based on a Gemara in Maseches Sukkah. But the Gemara says that the reward for giving tzedakah is based on the chesed that's behind it. Explains Rashi. Sometimes you can think tzedakah is an act of charity, I I give the money, I did it. I did the act. Says the Gemara, the reward is not based on how much you gave
