Today's shel of Miriam and right now let's briefly run through the idea of what went wrong with the spies. As we mentioned in the the mission impossible year last year, the problem with the spies was they wanted to spy out the land on their own terms. They out the land on their own terms. They didn't want to be told. They what's the word? They anticipated what they were going to do and they were the ones who suggested. And then Hashem said, "Okay, send for yourself." like as it were, it's not my idea, said Hashem. If you want to do it, then go ahead. So, what was the idea behind this whole thing? How come Hashem didn't turn around and say, "Look, say, "Look, I'm telling you, you're going to go into the land. I'm giving it to you. You're going to get rid of the all the inhabitants there, and it'll be your land." What's the problem? Well, why you have you know I I created the world. I know what's best for you and I'm telling you you don't need a mission. End of story. How come Hashem as it were acquested to what these 12 say 10 spies wanted to do? Cuz it was 10 say 10 spies wanted to do? Cuz it was 10 baddies and two goodies. Sometimes in you get children who are very headstrong and they want to do things their own way. Now in a way it can be good because you want children to be independent thinkers but sometimes they get an idea in their head and they just want to go with that idea. And although you as an adult either the parent or the teacher
