so we're picking up in chapter two of pirkei avot and uh we are on the ninth we're on the 12th mishna excuse me mishna and we are discussing the teachings of the five students of rabbi yochanan ben zakai and we are up to number three which is raviosi number three which is raviosi so the mishnah says the money or the property of your friend should be as dear to you as your own that's his advice number one now each of these students and sages were each giving basically like three pieces of advice so his number one is your friend's property should be as dear to you as your own number two the haskein atmetal will mode number two the haskein atmetal will mode torah you should here they translate make yourself fit but uh maybe like set yourself up establish yourself to be able to study torah shayna yerushala for it's not yours buying inheritance it doesn't come automatically even if you come from a family of torah scholars that doesn't make you a torah scholar a person has to set themselves to study if they want to learn that's number two and number three all of your actions should be for the sake of heaven so seemingly three mostly unrelated things it seems number one your friend's property she is dear be as dear to you as your own number two set yourself up to study torah because it doesn't come by inheritance and number three all of your deeds should be for the sake of heaven so the midrash quotes from rabbi moshe al-shakhar who suggests that these three pieces of
