and this marks the the final 36 days of the life of Mosher Rabenu and it is uh for want of a better phrase it's it's a recap of uh the Torah so far it's Moshenu giving his like his his final sh and as we mentioned in previous shim he starts off with a rebuke he gives Ben Israel a bit of telling off. But how does he do it? In this very off. But how does he do it? In this very mysterious cryptic fashion. Uh he gives all these place names. What are these place names? Arava, Mol, Ben Pan, Ben Topel. What are all these names? Lavan Dahav. So all these place names we know are there subtle forms of re rebuke. Each one of these place names refers to uh an you know one incident or another uh an you know one incident or another which occurred during the 40 years in the desert. For instance uh you have um the sin of the spies you have the sin of korak etc etc etc. So the question is asked why was the rebuke to the bene Israel made in a series of hints? Why didn't Moshenu just spell it out and say excuse me this is where he went wrong? Spies me this is where he went wrong? Spies complainers this that the other. Just give a list and you know explain where we went wrong and then we can act on it. Why all this, you know, subtlety and everything? You know, in England, we have a phrase, say what you mean, mean what you say. There's no point beating around the bush. Just just come out with it. So, there are a number of answers to this.
