answer questions so we're picking up our second class on say for yonah on the book of jonah if you missed the first one uh i can send you the recording or you can just read up on the first chapter and catch up with what's going on as i mentioned in the first class the plan at least uh we'll try is that the first two classes we're going to dedicate to going through the text and trying to get the storyline down with the classic commentaries and then the third class will go a little bit more in depth we'll really try to discuss the relevance of of the book of jungle to yom kippur from various angles and then the last class the fourth class will also be about connecting it to yom kippur but actually going a little bit deeper and studying the book of jonah on a more allegorical level based on the commentary of the villenege that'll be the fourth class so uh but today we are still trying to make our way through the story we got through chapter one and the goal today is to get through chapters two three and four um so we'll see how that goes um just a quick summary of the first chapter god tells jonah to god appears to jonah in a prophecy possibly his first experience of
