Good evening. This is a special edition of my weekly shar. Um I give doing it in a different format than I usually do for two reasons. First of all, I had a hard week. I was in the hospital for a few days. Don't worry, nothing traumatic. Basically, it was I went in for a relatively minor thing and then it's like Hotel California. Once you get in, you can check in whenever you want, but you can never leave. He kept me for three days and I'm still not kept me for three days and I'm still not sure why. But so it goes. But that was only one thing that make this a hard week. The harder thing that was this week was of course the passing of a very important person in my life. Although I never uh learned in his yeshiva and I knew him mainly from his shim that I heard like everybody else tapes etc. But I did have this to have a personal But I did have this to have a personal relationship with him and he's actually the rabbi responsible for unleashing me on the world by giving me smika and um for better or worse. And uh many critical things in my life uh came from conversations with him and being inspired by him and uh I miss him greatly. And um I figured that tonight rather than doing my usual type of shor
