This past week, there's someone who passed away who had a huge influence on my life. And so, this week on Yiddish Kite, I want to talk about that person, their work, and the influence that they had on me. That person is Rabbi Barl Wine. [Music] If you're new to this channel, my name is David and here on Yiddish Kite, we talk about the experience of Jewishness. Personally, I like to do that by looking at Jewish history, culture, and art. And looking at the work of Rabbi Barl Wine is a great way to capture all of these elements because not only did he write many books about Jewish history, but in this video I want to focus on the artwork that he put together, specifically the films that he made for children. Before we continue, I just want to make one point very clear that want to make one point very clear that this is not going to be an official biography of Barl Wine. There are people that know him a lot better. I didn't know him personally at all and so they'll be more qualified to talk about the details of his life. This video is going to be about his work and particularly the influence that his work had on me.
