hi everyone wishing you all a shabbat shalom um if i were to ask you what qualities makes a good leader what do they have to have we would throw out words like charismatic worldly knowledgeable smart passionate and yet very interestingly we find in this week's parashat we are introduced to the greatest leader maybe in the history of mankind moshe and god picks moshe to lead the jewish people out of egypt into the promised land why out of egypt into the promised land why does god pick moshe what do we know about moshe it's very interesting because if we open the homash we don't find much about him the torah tells us only three stories but if we study them we will find one common theme story number one he goes out one day he sees an egyptian striking a jew moshe gets involved he saved the jews life story number two he sees two jews fighting moshe gets involved he spreads he separates them and he stops the fight story number three he sees one day shepherds picking on utro's daughters moshe gets involved and utro's daughters moshe gets involved and he stops them and what we find is that moshe had one common theme in all of these stories and that is the meda the trait of empathy to be no se to be able to carry and share my friend's burden moshe grew up in the palace he could have stayed up there for the rest of his life comfortable but said moshe that's not me they're suffering i'm going to help them i'm going to save those that are oppressed moshe cared
