The opening of this shiur, in Charlie Harary’s own words— taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.
[Music] okay good morning everybody everybody's happy wednesday hope everyone is doing great i want to begin with a thank you special thank you to donna wexler um over the over the break i got a gift for no reason she just sent me a gift because she was being gracious thank you donna and she got me a book which is one of my favorite gifts to get there's a book on coffee which i don't even know how to like my worlds are exploding thank you donna much much appreciated we've been talking about the trap you know the hard part about the trap is is that it's being set unwittingly and unknowingly we think that sometimes the challenges that we have come from the bad acts not necessarily sometimes it comes from good bad good intentions it's just or people that don't realize in this case the very part of how we learn which is an incredible thing that god gave us like think about it like neuroplasticity is the greatest gift ever that means anything really is possible if you orient yourself in our enough information that's how growth happens that's how change i mean it's like can you imagine like our brain could be fixed our brain could be sort of baked in what we can we can do to learn new things and do a new thing it's the greatest gift ever so you would never think in a million years that it is your own brain that's setting up the trap for your failure but it is why because how your brain learns
