What’s said in this shiur

The opening of this shiur, in Rabbi Daniel Glatstein’s own words— taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.

Okay. Good morning everyone. Shalom aleichem. So, we have a brief topic tonight. The Gemara discussed a situation where you have a woman, she's not married yet fully to the person. She did erusin, she didn't do nisuin. However, the time that they had designated for them to do the nisuin had passed. The 12 months had passed. Whereby bigerus 30 days and they are committed to do nisuin. So, even though technically he did not he was not machnis her l'chuppah, nevertheless, uh they're fully the marriage is fully the marriage um the their agreement has been made. In other words, they agree in principle to get married, but they didn't do it yet. And the mission brought the opinion of Rabbi Eliezer that since he has to feed her, he could be meifer her nedarim. The chachamim disagree. The chachamim say, "No, he can't be meifer her nedarim." Rabbi Eliezer says, "Since the husband is chayav in her mezoinos, he could annul the nedarim." Ultimately, the Gemara says that even if you make the case that she can't eat terumah yet, and it's only terumah d'Rabbanan, because even if you say she won't be able to eat terumah until the nisuin is consummated, still the baal could be meifer her nedarim. Why? Kidrei Pinchas. Like Reb Pinchas. Whenever um whenever I give an insha on the topic of Pinchas, we always have a Pinchas who comes to the shiur. But, kidrei Pinchas. Mishmei d'Rava d'amar kol hanoidres al das baala hinoidas. Anyone who makes a neder makes a neder uh subjecting herself to the consent and the das of the husband. So, basically the Gemara is saying that even though nedarim d'Rabbanan is d'Oraisa, and really the husband has no control even over dinei d'Rabbanan, he can't even be meifer her terumah d'Rabbanan. He could be meifer her nedarim cuz kol
