The opening of this shiur, in Hidabroot - Torah & Judaism’s own words— taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.

In the 1960s, archaeologists excavated at Masada, the place where 2,000 years ago, the Romans were certain they had destroyed the last [music] remnants of Jewish resistance. Amid the ruins and ashes, they found a small clay jar [music] containing several seeds of the Judean date palm. Seeds that were 2,000 years old. Biologically speaking, a seed that sits in darkness for 2,000 [music] years is like a stone. It's dead. But in 2005, a researcher decided [music] to do something that seemed like madness. He took one of these ancient seeds [music] and planted it in the ground. Friends, after 2,000 years in the dark, >> [music] >> that seed sprouted. It broke through its shell, sent out roots, and grew into a magnificent date palm [music] tree that is still alive with us today. Its name is Methuselah. The Romans thought they had buried our people at [music] Masada, but they made a fatal mistake in biology. They didn't understand the difference between burying a stone and planting a seed. On the memorial day for the fallen soldiers of Israel, and as we look back
