And it brings down a well-known account of the Chofetz Chaim. A very powerful and frightening account. It says Bimei No'ar Chofetz Chaim, in the youth of the Chofetz Chaim, Zatzal, Kara B'Irei Mikra, something happened in the city. A widow that lived in the home of a simple landowner. She was paying rent. M'Toch Aniyut Nishla Chiyuv S'char Dirah, out of her poverty, she couldn't make ends meet. She couldn't pay the rent. And the homeowner was primed and he threatened to evict her. In the middle of the winter, but not like uh a winter in San Diego. Like a winter in New York this week or Chicago. U'M'Chimatza Rotz'lah, it says, but the woman wouldn't leave. He said as HaGag Me'al Dirasah, the landowner actually had her roof removed. Kol Anshei Ir Ashu, the people of the city were in a storm Al HaSha'aruriyah Hazois of this lawlessness, of this catastrophe, L'Garesh Almanah Aniyah B'Mei Choref Chutzah, to evict this poor woman, this poor widow, in middle of such a cold winter. The homeowner paid no attention to the cry of the widow V'Geresh U'Tz'ag Me'Choref, and he evicted her in the middle of the winter. The Chofetz Chaim shows of the didn't forget about the story. When he came even though years passed after this terrible incident and nothing happened. Believe thought that even said to his acquaintances is it possible that nothing will happen?
