She was paying rent. M'Toch Aniyut Nishla Chiyuv S'char Dirah, out of her poverty, she couldn't make ends meet. She couldn't pay the rent. And the homeowner was primed and he threatened to evict her. In the middle of the winter, but not like uh a winter in San Diego. Like a winter in New York this week or Chicago. U'M'Chimatza Rotz'lah, it says, but the woman wouldn't leave. He said as HaGag Me'al Dirasah, the landowner actually had her roof removed. Kol Anshei Ir Ashu, the people of the city were in a storm Al HaSha'aruriyah Hazois of this lawlessness, of this catastrophe, L'Garesh Almanah Aniyah B'Mei Choref Chutzah, to evict this poor woman, this poor widow, in middle of such a cold winter.
