Should we be learning Kabbalah and how should we learn it? Rabbi, so what do you think? Should we be learning Kabbalah? And do you learn Kabbalah? I think you should learn Kabbalah. If I say I learn Kabbalah then I I secret I'm not supposed to say. So if I say I don't learn Kabbalah then who's going to listen to my answer? So what do I do? I plead the fifth. There you go. Once upon a time it was very secret and very forbidden to learn Kabbalah if you were a simple person that wasn't elite in in Jewish scholarship. The The leaders of the leaders of the Jewish people learned the secret wisdom of Kabbalah and that's why it was so secret that not everybody really understood that it was so real. But the real leaders did know it was real. Kabbalah first of all, let's understand what Kabbalah is. Kabbalah is a secret wisdom, a secret ideas from Torah, part of the oral Torah, the oral tradition, given to Moshe Rabbeinu together with the written Torah and all of the oral tradition that are halakhic detailed information like how to put on tefillin, what tefillin should look like. So together with that were given also all of the secrets of Kabbalah to Moshe Rabbeinu. And but it even precedes Moshe Rabbeinu because really the Avot, Avraham, Yitzchak and Yaakov also knew Kabbalah and learned Kabbalah. The The tribes, the 12 tribes also knew Kabbalah and learned Kabbalah. There's a famous book called the Book of Formation, Sefer Yetzirah, which is attributed to Avraham Avinu and it's taught in Midrashim that Avraham Avinu learned Kabbalah from from different angels that God sent him to teach him secrets of [laughter] of of of Kabbalah.
