Removed: anything that has not been reviewed
There is one content policy, written once, and every customer-visible result must clear it before it appears.
Clearly appropriate content opens. Content in doubt hides — doubt never defaults open. Content against the written standard closes, permanently, for everyone, on every plan. There are no exceptions purchased, granted, or negotiated.
When the system cannot complete its checks — a service is down, an account state is unclear — it shows nothing rather than guessing.
In Lehallel, an empty result means one specific thing: nothing that cleared the standard matched your search. It never means the system guessed, filled in, or quietly relaxed the rules to avoid disappointing you.

Removed: ads of ours and comments
We run zero ads of our own, we never sell your family's eyes, and there is no sponsored placement anywhere in the app.
Because approved YouTube content plays on YouTube's own official embed, the provider may include its own ad experience in some playback — that part isn't ours to remove, and pretending otherwise would be dishonest. Hence our exact words: no ads from us, ever.
Lehallel removes comments to keep the experience respectful and free from harmful or inappropriate interactions.
Kept: the video as its creator published it
When an approved YouTube video plays inside Lehallel, the media remains hosted and delivered by YouTube.
Lehallel uses the official privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com embed path for eligible playback. That choice reduces unnecessary cross-site exposure before interaction compared with a standard embed, but it should not be read as a promise of complete anonymity.
We do not scrape, cache, re-host, or convert outside video into files.
The fact that a video can technically be embedded does not make it approved.
Kept: your way to ask, and your own judgment
Lehallel has a Request feature: paste a video link and it goes straight to review against the written standard.
If the video is in doubt, your Library shows it hidden pending deeper review. If it's against the standard, the answer is plainly closed — and closed is closed.
That boundary is valuable, but it is not a substitute for parenting, rabbinic guidance, or personal judgment about time and attention.
“Approved” means the item passed the applicable content path; it does not mean every approved title is equally useful for every moment, age, or learning goal.
