[Music] am my [Music] lord it's from you my [Music] lord it's all good my Lord the's Loving Grace We Begin Psalm 142 and first of all want to mention for 142 as it something times uh King David 142 as it something times uh King David is referring to things that we don't understand what he's referring to before you learn Psalm 142 open up one Samuel the book of Samuel 1 to chapter 24 and you'll see about David running away from Saul and his army and hiding in a cave everything that that happened and that's the background and this David is referring to this is all written down in the book of Samuel Samuel the prophet wrote this down and what king gam is referring to is what you'll see in Samuel 1 CH 24 so Psalm 142 a Prayer by David when he was in a cave retold in the vernacular by a wise aitor this is that the the uh orator in the time of the Holy Temple he would take from the Biblical Hebrew and he would translate it into language that the people understood then it would the street language was Aramaic but there's a difference between a world of difference between Aramaic and the Biblical Hebrew and not everyone in the streets and not everyone in the streets understood Biblical Hebrew the scholarly Hebrew this King David wrote the Psalms and schol heru and we have a a a translator the wise aror the wise aror he would give this over in the in the Holy Temple in verse Two by the way this is a Psalm that whenever you're in danger when ever you don't can't see any hope Psalm 142 is the go-to psalm and you soon see why in verse two
