in the night [Music] enough from you my Lord and it's all good my Lord [Music] and with hashem's loving grace we have our third lesson tonight in the ways of the righteous which is the second chapter the first was the introductory chapter last week we learned the Gate of arrogance and now we learn that the opposite characteristic we call Mida it's called the Gate of humility this is we call the gates the author who was a uh 13th century scholar and he wrote this without revealing his name uh he wrote this he was a contemporary of the latter ballito's foot rashi's grandsons and great-grandsons and he was a tremendous tremendous righteous scholar we could see who he quotes and we see what he teaches this is one of the most classic ethic books that the classic book in Judaism bullish and peace is a good character okay so we follow this a book and I know for example the military this is a guidebook he knows his book by heart the righteous people this is the way of the righteous if you want to be righteous you follow this you follow this path okay so we're now learning the Gate of humility what it means to be humor okay what it means to be humble and as I go I say the first part in Hebrew and then translated in English we get the full flavor of uh the author who we refer to as the author we don't know his name it's referred to him as author okay because he wrote this anonymously he was so humble that he didn't want to take credit for this and this is a part of the artistic ability okay so he writes right in the beginning of the chapter he writes that humility is a wonderful character trait and it's exact opposite of
