Railly used to quote the Rambam writes, "A person should always increase silence. You should increase production of silence." The way Rabbi Miller translated it, a person should always produce silence. He said you produce silence. Silence is something you produce. Silence is the absence of sound. It's not something that you produce. But if we want to be if you want to guard watch how you speak, you have to learn to produce silence. Keeping quiet, learning to control your speech is a protection for your body. And there's once a lecture where said, repeat after me, my mouth is my biggest enemy. My mouth is my biggest enemy. My mouth is my biggest enemy. He said, I could say it a hundred times. It won't be enough. The amount of damage that we cause by using our mouths indiscriminately by not thinking before we speak is tremendous, tremendous damage. And Ra Miller told this story.
