Emunah is pure and complete faith in Hashem and this is trust in Hashem but even more so the bitachon is applied emunah in times of pressure, financial pressure, security pressure when there's a there's a war going on, there's crisis happening in a person's life. It can be the person that just said a military war but the the war going on and attack from the evil inclination that's testing a person's ability to help. Now the bitachon comes in. Okay, so the approach A in bitachon says that bitachon is the confidence that Hashem is going to do whatever person needs. Whatever you need this you trust that Hashem's going to do it whatever you need. Okay, behold B says no, that's not bitachon. Approach B says that bitachon is the calm acceptance of whatever Hashem does. Hashem runs the world according to his divine wisdom lesson, b'ezrat Hashem, it provides a detailed answer. And first, we'll give the short answer. The Chazon Ish, he wrote a classic book on bitachon called Emunah and Bitachon. And the Chazon Ish tells us that both approaches are right. Just we use them at different times. The two different approaches represent two distinct mindsets in bitachon. Both are necessary. On one hand, a person never must confuse the two mindsets, and we're going to clarify them in tonight's lesson and next week's
