okay good morning everybody we are up to elbet chapter 15 correct what are we on page 751 i believe it is in the sax hebrew english um last chapter to catch ourselves up uh and bring ourselves up to speed chapter 14 we saw of shalom's return he comes back into the fold we saw he's very aggressive and trying to get back in the king's new graces we saw that the chapter ended chapter ended a little though lukewarm david accepts him back but kind of doesn't uh give him the reception that he's waiting for there's a little kiss on the head at the end as if you know you're back in but there's definitely a lot of tension and so the seeds have been sown for of shalom now to come in and to try and take over and that's exactly what he's going to do right out the gate of chapter 15 he realizes that david's uh popularity might be a little bit uh on the decline given his uh debacle with on the decline given his uh debacle with uh with batsheva and he's going through his own personal issues so there's a little bit of a crack in the uh in the armor of david and that's when somebody who you know is a bit of an egomaniac somebody who wants to take over has the opportunity to kind of slip in and that's what shalom is going to try to do and he's going to be very successful at the beginning and we're gonna have to play out the next few chapters to see about uh of shalom's rebellion that's what we're gonna start with here in chapter 15
