What’s said in this shiur

The opening of this shiur, in Rabbi Ariel Mizrahi’s own words — taken from the captions, so names and Hebrew terms may be approximate.

All right, gentlemen. It is a milestone week as we celebrate tonight the 6th anniversary. The 6th anniversary of this Tuesday night gentlemen's class started 6 years ago tonight by couple of guys with a vision and a little bit of chutzpah and a little bit of courage and a little help to Zoom and technology and a little help to Zoom and technology and something amazing came out of that COVID. You know? And um I want to thank from the bottom of my heart. I want to thank Ben Navi. I want to thank Ariel Sassoon. I want to thank Shai Mahani the the OG. The OG. You can't say OG anymore without thinking of Anunoby, you know? But um thank you for starting this amazing class class that has been really so strong for 6 years without missing a beat. Without missing a beat. You know, my wife knows Tuesday night we don't miss. You know, and um it grew to something beautiful. Now we're putting it online. And you know, you're changing lives. This class is changing lives and I know it's a very the city the nature of the city is it's it's transient, you know, it's a revolving door of sorts. People come, people go. people go. A couple of years they outgrow their space and it's expensive and you know, that is the nature of the beast. Um but people never forget what they get here. And they take this with them and they I know a guy he started a Mishna Yomi Shiyur class down in Miami. You know, he wanted to try to mimic this because it's something beautiful and um for that I'm I'm ever forever grateful. And um and the class only grows thanks to you guys
