co-director of habad house Bowery along with her husband Rabbi doona Korn rebit and Sarah runs a student center for downtown universities including New York University NYU baruk Cooper Union and Hunter College as their main schools but they also have attendees from other schools as well through her gentle and nurturing approach words of wisdom and her delicious shabas meals rebes and Sarah helps to guide students as they navigate their Jewish Journey on campus thank you so much for being here please tell us more about yourself and what you do thank you so much for having me it's obviously a very intense emotional and obviously a very intense emotional and opportune time to speak to the Jewish people right now so um so I'm honored to be here um yeah thank God we've lived in downtown Manhattan for 24 years we have a student center which actually has two parts to it we have our modern Orthodox students who grew up with a traditional Jewish Education and they are an unbelievable pleasure to educate and be around and spend time with and they're just they have such a with and they're just they have such a beautiful foundation and such a love for their Heritage so they're very eager to get very involved and to grow even more um but as arabad house over 20 years ago became popular with the modern Orthodox students the the students who didn't grow up with as much of a Jewish background and a formal Jewish Education needed a separate program like they just didn't they didn't blend well with the modern Orthodox Community because they all even if they come from LA and New
