so good morning everybody um just a reminder so this is our new time uh for our classes Mondays at 11 30 moving forward unless otherwise uh specified and zoom on so I look forward to continuing throughout the year um we should be getting into the book of melachim very shortly and uh you know hopefully we'll do something nice for the conclusion of we got to get there first so we're up to chapter 20 headed cuff we left off in chapter 19 two weeks ago so we'll just refresh our memories ago so we'll just refresh our memories actually it might be even worthwhile to read the ending of chapter 19 because it kind of flows into chapter 20. so we'll actually start from uh 43 of chapter 19 and we'll read the last two pisakim of chapter 19. what's going on is that David is reestablishing himself as the King after he had fled from abshalom because of the Rebellion they conduct the Battle of Shalom is they conduct the Battle of Shalom is killed and now David is set to be reinstated so to speak as the king of all of Israel but we noted that he took a very different path this time around in re-establishing his monarchy um the way than the way he did when he first became King when he first became King David was preoccupied with uniting the Jewish people not showing any favoritism to any one tribe over the other in particular his home tribe the tribe of Judah who moved the capital
