Okay, friends. You got double lucky today because it's a double parsha. So now we do smuch miyana parshas kedoshim the connection between the end of acharei mos and the beginning of kedoshim. I want to share with you just for starters one very simple idea. If you were to think what's the connection between acharei mos and kedoshim? Well, how does acharei mos end? It does the parsha of arayos. How does kedoshim begin? Kedoshim to you. This email is automatically summarizing this whole parsha sheet. Okay, that's a good one. Um Everybody knows that Rashi says on the words kedoshim to you. What does it mean kedoshim to you? Rashi says separate from arayos. How does Rashi know that? Kedoshim to you means separating from arayos. Maybe kedoshim to you means pray very long. Maybe it means immerse in a mikvah. Maybe it means give a lot of charity. Who told Rashi like a lot of charity. Who told Rashi like where did Rashi get this from? Kedoshim to you means separate from arayos. I would argue Rashi got it through a very simple technique. It's called smuchim. The end of acharei mos is the parsha of arayos. Then the Torah says kedoshim to you. So logic dictates that if the Torah is saying be holy in the immediate aftermath of separating from arayos, that means that separating from arayos creates holiness. The Tzur HaMar The Tzur HaMar explains the juxtaposition of the parshas. Says the Tzur HaMar kedoshim to you. At the end of acharei mos it speaks about the abominations of the people of the land which they did disgusting things. They lived with relatives. They lived with animals. Now those things are inherently disgusting.
