It is really such a privilege and pleasure to be sitting with a leader of Tom of Rebbe who I have had the privilege of knowing mostly from a distance. We've interacted a handful of times, you know, in in in person, but somebody who I've really admired from a distance. Thank you so much Rabbi Meish Taragin for joining us today. Thank you for having me. It's a pleasure to be here sitting in your backyard. A lovely autumn afternoon. This is this is beyond this is beyond special. So I really wanted to begin because not everyone knows this. I know because not everyone knows this. I know this because I have such an affinity when I was growing up with Camp Monc. I did not go to Camp Monc, but every one of my close friends did. I was afraid of sleepover camp until I was way into my teenage years. So anytime Camp Monc would come up or Zaba or any of it insider. That's that's a deep cut. That's a deep cut insider. You know, Monc or back talk. But you're most people know you as the you know, like a figurehead or the face at least in America of Yeshivas Har Etzion who was America of Yeshivas Har Etzion who was known as the Gush. And your upbringing was incredibly different from that. You didn't you weren't raised in a in the Dati Leumi world. Tell me a little bit of when the first time you made the decision so to speak to make Aliyah and to join a different community than the one you were brought up in. Oh wow. That's a very very good starting question. Um the 70s were very different time. The ideological boundaries were much less much softer. They were less rigid.
