Okay, good morning everyone. Thank you for joining us on this uh beautiful Monday morning as we are starting together begins. This is the story of Noah. These are the children of Noah. However you want to translate that word is Noah was a sadik. He was righteous. He was tamim. He was pure was tamim. He was pure bedav in his generation. And we read this week about how Noah basically is the sole survivor of a flood that wiped out humanity. He and his family were saved in an ark. Prashad goes on to tell us how he constructs that ark, how he is saved, how he brings along as well the animals in order to continue the animal species in the animal kingdom. And it answers obviously a lot of questions of um you know uh a lot of questions of um you know uh animals that are extinct that are no longer around you know you could easily say that they were pre flood and post flood they didn't survive etc. But be it as it may, Torah tells us that Noah was a righteous man. And our rabbis find a word in the puk that causes some interesting conversation. The pasuk says that he was a righteous manav in his generation. And what exactly is in his generation. And what exactly is that trying to imply in his generation? Rashi quoting our rabbis says it very famously. Some explain this to be a praise for Noah. In his generation, he was righteous. How much more so he would have been righteous if he was around good
